Override the CreateParams() method in your TCustomListView descendent,<br \/>\nand set:<br \/>\n[code lang=&#8221;delphi&#8221;]Params.Style := Params.Style OR LVS_OWNERDRAWFIXED;<br \/>\n[\/code]<br \/>\n2. Create a message handler for the CN_DRAWITEM message, NOT the WM_DRAWITEM<br \/>\nmessage that the Win32 help file (AND MSDN) tell you to respond to.<br \/>\nCN_DRAWITEM is in the same format as a WM_DRAWITEM message.<\/p>\n<p>ARGH!!!!!! But it&#8217;s working.
